EGYPT'S PETROLEUM MINISTER TO FORM A NEW GOVERNMENT
President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi assigned former Petroleum Minister Sherif Ismail to form a new government.
The decision came following the former cabinet’s resignation Saturday morning. The cabinet was headed by former prime minister Ibrahim Mehleb.
Mehleb’s cabinet is required to carry out its responsibilities until the formation of a new government.
Ismail was the Petroleum Minister in Mehleb’s cabinet. He held the position since July 16, 2013.
He served as the chairman of the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) from 2005 to 2007 and as the chairman of Ganoub al-Wadi Petroleum Holding Company (GANOPE) from 2007 to 2013. Albawaba Business
