Amazon BDC has been suspended by the Association of Bureau De Change for its unethical conducts.This action followed the arrest of Mr Nwokenta Emmanuel of Amazon BDC for swallowing $156,000 which was to be smuggled to Brazil. He was arrested by National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) operatives at Lagos Airport Hotel with 6 others while preparing for the trip.
The Acting President, ABCON, Mr. Aminu Gwadabe, told a news conference that the suspension of Amazon by ABCON would subsist pending the outcome of the investigation into the matter by the NDLEA, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and the Central Bank of Nigeria. He said this would serve as a deterrent to others, while not pre-empting the outcome of the ongoing investigations.
