Putin on the other hand accused the US of fostering violence in the Middle East saying the US was responsible for engineering revolutions, and change of governments under the toga of democracy which resulted in violence and social disorder in some countries.“I cannot help asking those who have forced this situation, do you realize now what you have done?” Putin said in remarks that never mentioned, but were clearly directed at the United States. The sparring between them came ahead of a meeting scheduled after the General assembly. President Obama eventually made overtures to Putin saying that the United States would work with any nation to end the fighting in Syria, that has dragged on for four and-a-half years. He wooed the Russian President, also making it clear that the US does not condone the annexation of Crimea by Russia or support separatist in Southeast Ukraine and Syrian president Assad . In preparation for their meeting afterwards, President Obama had doused the tension between them, leaving the boxing ring for another day like Floyd Mayweather did with Pacquiao.
