President Buhari request support of House in passing Lagos loan

President Muhammadu Buhari has sought the assistance of the Federal House of Representatives in passing a $200 million world bank loan for Lagos State.  The President’s request was conveyed in a letter to the Speaker, Mr. Yakubu Dogara, read to members on the floor, soon after they resumed from a six-week annual break on Tuesday.

Part of the letter read, ''I seek your support to facilitate the consideration and early approval of the DPO II loan of the US$200m to enable the state to consolidate on the gains of the second tranche of the operation (DPO) II''.  This comes as the Lagos State Governor promised over the weekend to continue the development of the five major axis of Lagos namely; Lagos Island, Ikorodu,,Ikeja ,Badagry and  Epe
