GAMA AVIATION PAYS N11M FOR RELEASE OF IT'S AIRCRAFT


A fine of N11 million has been paid to the aviation authorities by Gama Aviation, a Uk company after its aircraft was found to have committed infractions and impounded by the Nigeria aviation authorities. The company paid N7 million to Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA)  and N3.9m to the Nigeria Airspace Management Agency (NAMA).
Following the payments of the fine the aircraft, a Bombardier global express plane has returned to the UK. The acting General manager , Public Affairs, Mr Sam Adurogboye hinted that the second aircraft, an Embraer 135 with registration marks XA-MHA, had not been released because the owners had not paid the fine imposed on it for illegally operating in the Nigerian airspace and still remained impounded at the Abuja airport.
