BASKETMOUTH EXPANDS BRAND ACROSS AFRICA

Popular comedian Basketmouth, Bright Opocha is expanding his brand to a pan African audience, by partnering with Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN). Alex Okosi, Senior Vice President and Managing Director said"we are delighted to partner Basketmouth to create this compelling high quality TV special for Comedy Central. We are committed to raising the profile of Nigerian comics and comedy both at home ,and internationally and hope the partnership with Basketmouth will be the first of many such initiatives".


This year’s comedy spectacular includes a line-up of Nigerian and international comedians including Basketmouth himself, and guest comedians Robert Powell (USA), Griff (USA), Buchi (Nigeria), Bovi (Nigeria), Okey Bakassi (Nigeria), Ndumiso Lindi (SA), David Kau (SA) and Salvador (Uganda).
In support of the initiative, Basketmouth will also feature in a range of associated programming on Comedy Central’s sister channel MTV Base. Basketmouth confessed that he is very excited to be working with comedy central and MTV base to expand the reach of Lord of the ribs. Basketmouth is the first Nigerian comic to have his own dedicated TV special and he  was recognized international in Houston US when July 17 2015 was declared Basketmouth day by the authorities.
