Diamond Magnate and Super Billionare Deinde Fernandez Dead
Ace Nigerian publisher and Journalist Dele Momodu announced on his twitter handle the death of Chief Dehinde Fernandez who died yesterday in Belgium. In 1982, he served as advisor to the Angolan government on economic matters, a position he held for years until his appointment as deputy permanent representative of Mozambique to the United Nations in 1984. On the business side, he ran an oil company called Petro Inett which obtained a 50% stake with the South African based Energy Africa Limited, in a deal with the State oil company for explration rights in a 4,700sqkm area of Angola coast in 1996. He was well known for his opulence and love for the good things of life and some of his toys include three private jets, his popular Yatch "Yemoja" named after the sea goddess, a French hunting chateau which onced belonged to Napolean Bonaparte, a mansion in Larchmont, NY, A house in Brussels, a palace in Kano and several others. He is said to have been one of Africa's richest men with an estimated networth of $8.7billion.

He was rarely termed a Nigerian. He lived life to the fullest.
