Tesla motors, owned by Billionaire Elon musk, decided to target its new Model X at women.
In doing so, it took compromises that make
it more attractive to the targeted group, but less appealing for those
outside of that group.
The problem, however, is that it can be
shown that the group of women Tesla targeted constitutes just a small
part of the market.
No, it doesn't seem. It was conscientiously so. Elon Musk said as much.
Perhaps this was a move to expand Tesla's market. After all, recent demographic research into its buyer base showed the Model S is overwhelmingly bought by men.
