Amidst glitz and fanfare, the much-anticipated premiere of Mo Abudu’s classic feature film,
FIFTY, held in London’s Leicester Square last Saturday.
FIFTY’s screening was part of the official programmes at the
on-going London Film Festival. The flick, which was selected under the
‘Love Category’ among a diverse selection of films at the festival,
stars the likes of Omoni Oboli, Dakore Egbuson-Akande, and Ireti Doyle
among others.
As a build up to the epoch premiere, the British Council had earlier
last week hosted the cast and crew of the film to a cocktail at Stephen
St. Kitchen, London. However, on the D-day, a colourful performance by
the famous UK-based talking drummers opened the red carpet. It was an
electrifying performance that put delighted spectators and fans in the
right mood for the main event.
The world premiere of
FIFTY is scheduled to hold at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos on December 13, 2015.
