The Equities Market depreciated by 0.57% today

The Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization depreciated by 0.57%, at today's trading with the All Share Index closing at 30,025.62 points against the previous close of 30,199.15 points while Market Capitalization closed at N10,319.18 trillion against previous close of N10,378.82 trillion.

With this performance, the Year-to-Date return stood at -13.36%.

The NSE 30 Index decrease by 0.57 per cent from 1,373.32 basis points to 1,365.50 basis points.

The NSE Banking Index depreciates by 0.32 per cent from 319.88 points to 318.86 basis points.

Volume traded increased by 36.88% from 207,560,520.00 million to 284,117,816.00 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 18.07% from ₦3,439 to ₦2,818 billion in 2,962.00 deals with 17 stocks rising, 63 stocks closed flat while 26 others are declining.

OANDO Plc. rose by 5.37 per cent or N0.53 to close at N10.40 per share.

OANDO, BETAGLAS, CUTIX, HONYFLOUR and DIAMONDBNK emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while OKOMUOIL, GUINNESS, CADBURY, EVANSMED, and UNILEVER topped the losers chart.



Bond yields rise as liquidity thins

The nation’s overnight lending rates and yields on long-term bonds rose today. OBB and O/N rose to 5.33% and 5.92% respectively from 5,25 and 5.75 respectively.
