OSUN DEPUTY GOVERNOR,LAOYE TOMORI NOT DEAD SAYS AIDE
The rumoured death of the Osun state deputy governor, Mrs Titi laoye- Tomori has been dispelled by the Osun state govenment. Gboyega Labirai, Special Assistant, Media and Public Relations, Office of the Deputy Governor, in a statement issued on Wednesday night described the story as a “wind that blows no one any good.”
There was anxiety in Osun State on Wednesday as rumour spread that the state's Deputy Governor, Mrs Titiulayo Laoye Tomori had died after an undisclosed ailment.
Even before the rumour, her whereabouts had been generating controversy as she had not been sighted in the state in the last couple of months.
While many people said Tomori was ill and that she was flown abroad for medical treatment, the state government kept sealed lips on her whereabouts until on Wednesday when the death rumour started making the round.Labiran explained that the Deputy Governor officially secured an approval to proceed on annual leave and that he was in regular telephone contact with Tomori. He assured that his boss would soon be back in the state.
