NATIONAL POULTRY ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA DENIES THE OUTBREAK OF BIRD FLU IN LAGOS
Dr Ayo Oduntan, the National President of the Poultry Association of Nigeria has denied reports that birds have been infected with the dreaded bird flu influenza.
According to him, neither the Ministry of Agriculture in the state nor the association had reported any outbreak of bird flu.Some radio stations in Lagos yesterday reported the new scourge of the dreaded bird disease in some areas, which was reported by the farmers.
Earlier this year, 14 states were reported to have been inflicted with the bird flu and the issue was professionally handled by the Federal ministry of Agriculture and the affected States.
