Blood moon not diabolic, just science says National Space and Development Agency (NASDRA) Chief
The chief scientific officer , National Space and Development Agency (NASDRA) Dr Benjamin Ayetunji has called for Nigerian to remain calm. He spoke concerning the blood moon which occurred in the early hours of this morning urging Nigerians to "just watch and appreciate science". Explaining, he said that the lunar eclipse is an astronomical event that occurs when the earth comes between the sun and the moon, with the earth casting it's shadow on the moon.
The eclipse occurs when the earth's shadow blocks the sunlight, which otherwise reflects the moon he said. The lunar eclipse began at 1.11am and ended at 6.22am in Nigeria.
