EFCC GOES AFTER EX-PRESIDENT JONATHAN'S ASSOCIATES.
Various accounts which have been linked to associates of former President Jonathan have been frozen by the Economic and Financial crimes Commission. Some of these are accounts of keketobou Foundation belonging to Former President Jonathan's Special Adviser Kingsley Kuku,Mieka Divers Limited, Global West Vessels Limited, which are owned by ex- Niger Delta warlord Government Ekpompolo. Another associate Kime Engozi, who is the contractor handling the N30 billion Maritime University contract in Delta state and accounts of former Director General of Nimasa Dr Patrick Akpobolokemi have been frozen. The accounts are said to have been flagged for security reasons. The anti-graft agency made the move to quickly nip -in-the bud the transfer of the alleged looted funds from the various accounts. The former Nimasa boss's ordeal with the EFCC is not unconnected to business deals purported to have been consummated by him while hold the forte at Nimasa and the former warlord. Akpobolokemi's international passport and a bullet-proof landcruiser SUV worth N38m have been confiscated.
