POLICE COMMISSION RE-INSTATES INDICTED CP IN BOKO HARAM'S KABIRU SOKOTO ESCAPE.
Dismissed commissioner of police, CP Zakari Biu, has been re-instated to his former position and retired statutorily. Biu who was dismissed from the Police Force following his alleged complicity in the escape from police detention of notorious Boko Haram suspect, Kabiru Sokoto after a trial, got his reprieve after he challenged his dismissal.
The decision was said to have been taken during the 13th plenary session of Police Service Commission chaired by Mr Mike Okiro.He was exonerated of any complicity in Kabiru Sokoto's escape.
The Police Service Commission has approved the promotion of two commissioners of Police to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General of Police. They are Danladi Adi Yirama Mshielbwala and Ibrahim Idris.
