EQUITIES MARKET DIPS BY 19%
The Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization depreciated by 19%, at today's trading with the All Share Index closing at 30,311.77 points against the previous close of 30,369.97 points while Market Capitalization closed at ₦10,417.53 trillion against previous close of ₦10,437.53 trillion.
With this performance, the Year-to-Date return stood at -12.54%.
The NSE 30 Index rose by 0.68 per cent from 1,368.25 basis points to 1,377.53 basis points.
The NSE Banking Index fell by 0.85 per cent from 320.78 points to 318.06 basis points. Volume traded increased by 62.50% from 254,700,012.00 million to 413,883,211.00 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 38.57% from ₦3,843 to ₦2,361 billion in 4,331.00 deals with 19 stocks rising and 29 others are declining.
MANSARD Plc. rose by 9.79 per cent or N0.23 to close at N2.58 per share.
MANSARD, CAVERTON, CONTINSURE, NAHCO and PORTPAINT emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while VANLEER, UNHOMES, PZ, SKYEBANK, and WEMABANK topped the losers chart.
