Long queues have resurfaced in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital as premium motor spirit once again becomes a scarce product.
When LEADERSHIP visited some of the filling stations yesterday, motorists were seen on long queues waiting anxiously for the all- important petrol.
The rumour of petrol scarcity had dominated discussion in the state capital since Wednesday as people wondered what was responsible for the unusual traffic at filling stations.
But by Saturday night, many filling stations remained shut indicating no supply or deliberate act of sabotage to jack up the price.
Many filling stations visited yesterday were however selling with long queues.
Some of them had jacked up the pump price to N100 per litre.
A good case is Mimololuwa Petroleum located along Saje-Federal Housing Estate road in the state capital.
When our correspondent visited, the attendant told him point blank that fuel was 100 per litre.
