Equity market inches up by 0.29%


The Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization appreciated by 0.29%, at today's trading with the All Share Index closing at 30,219.01 points against the previous close of 29,834.21 points while Market Capitalization closed at N10,385.65 trillion against previous close of N10,253.40 trillion.

With this performance, the Year-to-Date return stood at -12.81%.

The NSE 30 Index increase by 1.01 per cent from 1,356.50 basis points to 1,370.16 basis points.

The NSE Banking Index depreciates by 0.39 per cent from 315.32 points to 316.55 basis points.

Volume traded decreased by 70.77% from 357,364,771.00 million to 104,465,893.00 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 17.19% from ₦2,336 to ₦1,934 billion in 2,930.00 deals with 18 stocks rising, 68 stocks closed flat while 20 others are declining.


DANGCEM Plc. rose by 4.93 per cent or N7.94 to close at N168.95 per share.

DANGCEM, BERGER, HONYFLOUR, CUTIX and MOBIL emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while TRANSEXPR, NASCON, RTBRISCOE, WEMABANK, and EVANSMED topped the losers chart.
